A DAY IN LONDON
Our day started at the train station in Cambridge at 10 am, because buses do not work on Sundays before 9 in the morning. At about 11 we were in London. We arrived at King's Cross Station from where we went by underground to the British Museum. There we saw many valuable objects from different parts of the world.
Later that day, we had lunch at Burger King and then we took the underground to Buckingham Palace. On the way, we went through a park where pigeons were so friendly that they stood on our hands.
When we saw the Palace, we were impressed by its size. It was beautiful but as it is Queen Elizabeth II's home, tourists are not allowed to get in.
At about 5, we started walking along Birdcage Walk until we saw the Big Ben. It is being repaired so, unfortunately, we could only barely see it. We walked along Westminster Bridge and took beautiful pictures of the Houses of Parliament. On the other side of the Thames we saw the London Eye and we decided we should go.
The London Eye was amazing, we could see almost all the city of London. It was an astonishing view and we enjoyed it a lot.
As it was already late, we took the train back to Cambridge, had dinner and went to bed.
